President’s Message
February 2021
February is the month that we associate with Valentine’s Day. According to Wikipedia, “While the European folk traditions connected with Saint Valentine …connecting the day with romantic love, there are some remaining associations connecting the saint with the advent of spring.” This year I am going to focus on the latter, with the days becoming noticeably longer there is hope for us escaping ‘lockdown’ to spend more time outside. As most of us have cleaned out enough closets and cupboards, have had time to complete several UFO’s and organize our fabric stashes, it will be refreshing to be able to spend more time outdoors and clear out the internal cobwebs.
It’s hard to believe that it was a year ago that we held our last physical guild meeting. Thank goodness for our quilting projects and for some of our more computer savvy members, there are lots of webinars, classes, etc. available to fill the hours of each day.
As we continue to adhere to the government restrictions limiting our social activities, I am looking forward once again to seeing you at our virtual meeting next Wednesday.
Janice Haluszka,
President

Meetings are held the third Wednesday of each month from September to June. Due the CoVid 9 Pandemic, we currently meet online via Zoom.
The codes will be sent out to members the Sunday night prior to the meeting date. We would ask that these logins and passwords not be shared or published. Each member in our guild will receive an email for this.
Logon: at 6:30 p.m. to socialize and the meeting will begin at 7 p.m.
Please note: Our meetings need to be fragrance/scent-free and no latex is allowed, due to the allergies of some of our members. Thank you!
