The Comfort Quilt team would like to thank each and every one of you for your support and your hard work. Over the past year, your dedication to our Outreach Program has produced beautiful quilts that have been distributed to many groups and organizations in our Community. With the winter months upon us, hopefully you’ll continue to keep making those beautiful quilt tops. Thank-you so much for all you do.

Long Term Care Facilities Needs

A message from Janet Shannon who is on our Comfort Quilts committee.

She has indicated that there are long term care facilities that are in need of Fidget Quilts.

Using Fidget Blankets for Alzheimer’s or Dementia. One of the ways that individuals with Alzheimer’s or dementia show anxiety or agitation is in their hands. They will begin to fidget, restlessly pulling at clothes or blankets, wringing their hands, or rubbing their hands together. Fidget blankets are one way to help restore calm.
